Four detained for
South Africa lesbian murders

Police have detained four people who may have participated in last month's murder of two lesbian activists in the South Africa township of Meadowlands, reports national news station SABC.

Sizakele Sigasa and Salome Masooa were allegedly raped, tortured, and shot dead in what may have been a crime motivated by hate. Sigasa worked for the local nonprofit Positive Women's Network. (The Advocate)
