Author Josh Kilmer-Purcell will discuss his newest novel as part of the Word for Word Author Series held in Bryant Park in New York City. The event, hosted by TV/radio personality Scott Nevins, is scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, 12:30-1:45 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

Kilmer-Purcell is the author of I'm Not Myself These Days, a memoir about his days as a drag queen in New York City. His latest work, The Candy Everybody Wants, is a comical novel about a Midwestern man seeking fame, fortune, and freedom in New York and Los Angeles.

The Bryant Park Reading Room is located outside on the 42nd Street side of the park, between the back of the New York Public Library and 6th Avenue.

If there is rain, the venue will be moved to the Library of the General Society of Mechanics and Tradesmen at 20 W. 44th St. between 5th and 6th avenues.
