Renowned gay writers and artists will gather on Saturday, November 15, to honor Stuart Timmon, a longtime community organizer and author of the best-selling book Gay L.A. Timmon suffered a debilitating stroke in January that has left him unable to speak or move. The benefit will raise funds to provide much-needed hours of physical therapy and other medical necessities beyond what routine insurance will allow. Malcolm Boyd, Chris Freeman, Trebor Healey, Michael Kearns, Felice Picano, Derek Ringold, and Terry Wolverton are among the organizers. (The Advocate)
