Producers for Good Morning America have canceled Adam Lambert's scheduled appearance on its weekly concert series.
ABC News axed the concert after his racy performance at the American Music Awards on Sunday. Lambert kissed his keyboardist and simulated oral sex with a dancer during the performance, prompting outrage from several media outlets.
According to TV Newser, ABC put the brakes on his appearance because "given his controversial live performance on AMAs," producers "were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning."
While the awards show garnered its highest ratings its had since 2002, ABC has reportedly received more than 1,500 complaints in response to the performance.
UPDATE: Entertainment Weekly reports that Lambert will shift his performance over to The Early Show on CBS.
