Fred Phelps and the hatemongers at Westboro Baptist Church wasted no time in declaring plans to picket the funeral of fashion designer Alexander McQueen, who died February 11. In an announcement released the same day, Westboro founder Phelps revealed plans to stage a protest at McQueen's funeral and stated that the gay 40-year-old "McQueen spent his short life on earth teaching rebellion against God," that he "is now in hell." The group also takes aim at McQueen's muse Lady Gaga, saying the pop superstar who frequently wore McQueen's elaborate creations "has blood on her hands."
