The Hetrick-Martin Institute, the nonprofit that aids LGBT youths and runs Manhattan's Harvey Milk High School, is holding its School's Out fund-raiser on the famed Grey Gardens estate.
The East Hampton, N.Y., residence -- once home to Edith Ewing Bouvier Beale ("Big Edie") and Edith Bouvier Beale ("Little Edie"), the mother and daughter featured in the documentary Grey Gardens -- will serve as the backdrop to the fund, raiser, taking place June 12. Attendees will have the opportunity to walk and explore the famous grounds.
Aside from raising money for Hetrick-Martin, the annual School's Out event introduces Hetrick-Martin's summer programming and features Harvey Milk students discussing the school's impact on their lives. The event attracts political figures, fashion designers, models, and celebrities.
