Constance McMillen, who filed suit against her Mississippi high school after it canceled next month's prom rather than let her attend with her girlfriend, appeared Friday on the CBS News Early Show.

McMillen, 18, and attorney Christine Sun from the American Civil Liberties Union spoke with host Erica Hill about the school's move and their effort to fight it. The young woman said some peers have told her, "You ruined my senior year," but she does not regret her decision to challenge the antigay policy.
