Stewart Could Not Grope Fanning in Runaways Kiss

In The Runaways, a film about rocker Joan Jett's groundbreaking 1970s band, Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart share a kiss that promises to turn heads. Nineteen-year-old Stewart, who plays Jett, told Access Hollywood that she hadn't realized all the restrictions associated with working with a younger actress. Stewart notes that Fanning, playing Jett's band mate Cherie Currie, "was 15 and I wasn't allowed to grope her. I'm actually not kidding -- there are major restrictions that I don't remember [from] when I was younger."

Of the kiss, Fanning says, "It's just something that happened in their lives. In the script it's not like a big buildup or something that they talk about afterwards."

The Runaways is due for release on April 9.
