Rihanna builds on her reputation as a strong woman grows as she joins a date on the Lilith Fair, the all-female music festival begun in the '90s by Sarah McLachlan.
In the middle of her own tour, Rihanna will join the Lilith group at their Salt Lake City stop on July 12. Other performers taking part in Lilith include Mary J. Blige, Emmylou Harris, Kelly Clarkson, Sheryl Crow, Suzanne Vega, Erykah Badu, Tegan and Sara, and McLachlan.
Rihanna became a role model for women when she sat down with Diane Sawyer last year to discuss her abusive relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown. She also added to her lesbian cred recently with the song "Te Amo" on her latest album, Rated R. In the song, Rihanna sings about a romantic encounter with another woman.
