Politician Mike Huckabee, an outspoken opponent of adoption by gays, has
been invited to dinner by the Hearty Boys, a gay cooking duo, to meet
their adopted son, reports E! Online. Caterers and longtime partners Dan Smith and Steve McDonagh, who hosted Party Line With the Hearty Boys on the Food Network after winning the first season of the cooking competition show The Next Food Network Star have invited Huckabee to their Chicago home.
"Children are not puppies," Huckabee said recently to student journalists at the College of New Jersey.
McDonagh addressed the antigay former presidential candidate in an open letter posted on his blog. "You need to understand and see firsthand what a family like ours is like. We are no less a family than yours, and in fact, we are healthier and more stable than most," he writes.
