Current TV's documentary series Vanguard heads to Uganda in May for an episode devoted to looking at the state of Uganda's proposed "kill the gays" bill.

Correspondent Mariana van Zeller digs around for information at the bill and examines the impact of American evangelicals on the antigay rhetoric being preached.

Vanguard, which has won a Peabody Award for its in-depth look at global issues, returns May 19 for its fourth season with an episode devoted to journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee, who were held captive in North Korea.

The episode devoted to Uganda will air May 26. Watch below for a preview of the episode.
