Academy Award-winner Cher will make a much-anticipated return to acting opposite Christina Aguilera, who will make her film debut in Burlesque. According to press materials, Aguilera will star as Ali, "a small-town girl with a big voice who escapes hardship and an uncertain future to follow her dreams to L.A." There she begins to work for Tess (Cher), headliner and proprietor of the Burlesque Lounge. Kristen Bell, Alan Cumming, Eric Dane, and Stanley Tucci costar in the musical drama from out director Steve Antin. Cher last appeared on the big screen as herself in the 2003 comedy Stuck on You.
