Victoria Blunt, the wife of Crispin Blunt, the conservative British prisons minister who came out last week, is reported to be "completely traumatized" by his revelation.

According to the Daily Mail, Mrs. Blunt feels betrayed for having sacrificed her own banking career to support her husband, and for having contributed her family fortune to his political campaigns. The couple have separated after nearly 20 years of marriage.

"'She is completely traumatized,' said a source," the Daily Mail reported. "'She has devoted most of her married life to playing the politician's wife and it was all built on a lie.'"

Mr. Blunt, 50, concealed his homosexuality to such an extent that he once declared being gay was not equal to being straight in a parliamentary debate. He is the uncle of actress Emily Blunt.
