Mark Carter, a former Mr. Gay U.K and Yorkshire police officer, appeared in court Monday to deny charge of sex offenses including the rape of another man.

According to the Yorkshire Post, "He appeared at Leeds Crown Court today and pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape and three sexual assaults."

The charges against Carter, 27, involve four different alleged victims between December 18 and 19, reports the Post.

Carter, who was crowned Mr. Gay U.K. in 2006, has been suspended by the West Yorkshire Police and was granted conditional bail Monday. He will appear in Leeds Crown Court December 13 for trial.
