A top Air Force official has "no doubt" that DADT repeal, if and when it happens, will be implemented successfully.
During a Q&A at the Air Force Association's fall conference, Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz says that if Congress repeals DADT, "airmen in the U.S. Air Force will implement the change professionally, thoroughly, and effectively.
"But there is one bottom line on all of this. ... The standards of conduct do not change, period."
Schwartz praised the repeal questionnaire sent to service members over the summer as part of the Pentagon working group study on DADT repeal, which is due in December.
