Real Housewives of New York City star Jill Zarin is partnering with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and wearing purple this Wednesday in support of LGBT youths and putting an end to bullying in schools.

Millions of Americans have committed on Facebook to wearing the color purple on October 20 -- "Spirit Day" -- to remember young people lost to anti-LGBT bullying.

"I will be wearing purple this Wednesday," said Zarin. "No child should be the victim of bullying, and as parents, we need to teach our children that everyone deserves to be accepted for who they are."

GLAAD also announced that Zarin will serve as host of the ninth annual GLAAD OUTAuction on November 21 in New York City. The auction will feature works by emerging artists as well as pieces by famous ones including Herb Ritts and Salvador Dali.
