Keira Knightley is poised to make her stage debut as a schoolteacher
accused of being a lesbian in a London West End revival of Lillian
Hellman's The Children's Hour, reports the New York Post.
Hellman's play was controversial when it premiered on Broadway in 1936, as it focuses on a malicious boarding school student who ruins the lives of two young female teachers by accusing them of being in a lesbian relationship. Knightley is still in talks to play one of the two female leads and would open the show in London early next year, and if the show is successful, take it to New York the following winter.
