Clint McCance has officially resigned his position as vice president of the Midland school district board in Pleasant Plains, Ark.

The board unanimously accepted McCance's resignation at a specially called meeting Monday, superintendent Dean Stanley told CNN.

McCance previously posted on Facebook that he wanted gays to kill themselves; he also referred to gays as "fags" and "queers"and stated that he "enjoys the fact that they often give each other AIDS and die."
