Keith Olbermann will return as host of his popular MSNBC program on Tuesday, November 9, according to website Deadline. The host of Countdown With Keith Olbermann, who has been one of television's most outspoken supporters of LGBT causes, was suspended from the network last week because he contributed to candidates without obtaining advance approval from his supervisors.
Deadline acquired the following written statement from Phil Griffin, president of MSNBC:
"After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night's program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night."
