On the heels of exit polls that show nearly one-third of gay voters
supported Republicans in last week's midterm elections, Sirius OutQ
radio host Michelangelo Signorile talks with gay voters who backed
the GOP.
Joe.My.God posted a clip in which a caller from Kentucky told Signorile he wanted to send a "message" to Obama for not doing enough for LGBT rights.
"But do you think that Rand Paul is going to do something for gay rights and that Republicans are?" asked Signorile about the man's support for the Tea Party-backed U.S. Senate winner.
Another caller from Kentucky who voted Republican reasoned that the election of Jim Gray as the openly gay mayor of Lexington would somehow help the GOP warm to LGBT rights.
Yet another caller said he voted Republican for reasons of his pocketbook, in protest of wasteful government spending.
Watch the clip.
