Louise Yeoman hid her face when she entered Leeds Crown Court, where she admitted to three charges of engaging in sexual activity with a child,
involving touching the girl, and two charges of inciting her to engage
in sexual activity. Yeoman also pleaded guilty to five charges of
engaging in sexual activity with a child while in a position of trust.
Judge Peter Collier granted conditional bail for Yeoman and ordered her
to register as a sex offender. The affair began in December 2008, when the student was 15, and continued through March 2010. Yeoman was teaching at a secondary school in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, in England. "The fact that I am giving you bail is no indication that a sentence will not be custodial," Judge Collier said. "All that is a matter for the judge you come before."
