Despite the work design star Nate Berkus put into designing a new lounge for LGBT youth, country singer Chely Wright will do the official unveiling on Berkus's show, since he was rushed to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy.
Wright, who came out earlier this year, will reveal the Youth Enrichment Services lounge, housed at the LGBT community center in New York on the Wednesday episode of The Nate Berkus Show. Speaking about why she came out, Wright said, according to CMT, "I didn't want to think about another kid sitting on the edge of his bed, or another young person like Seth Walsh. I couldn't stand the thought of somebody feeling like there wasn't somebody else like him or like her."
The episode also features Berkus speaking with the mother of Seth Walsh, the 13-year-old boy who committed suicide earlier this year after a rash of bullying. The lounge is being unveiled and renamed in his honor.
