The Iraklis basketball team in Greece was forced to remove its jerseys on court Sunday following a loss to rivals from the PAOK club and the team president later apologized for the "queer game" of his players.
According to TalkBasket.net, "Some of the players obeyed the orders and indeed took them off and throw them in the court centre. A couple of hours later the president of Iraklis BC made an announcement apologizing to the fans for the 'queer game' by the players."
When the Players Union objected to the homophobic comments and the humiliation of the players forced to strip from their jerseys, the Iraklis team captain said that the players did not deserve to wear the uniform and hinted that their positions were not secure.
