A large crowd is expected to attend hearings this Thursday on two bills that could repeal the marriage equality law in New Hampshire next year.
According to the Associated Press, "House Republican Leader D.J. Bettencourt has said he will ask the judiciary committee to keep the bills until next year, but hearings must be held this year under House rules."
Gov. John Lynch has promised to veto a repeal, but Republicans hold large enough majorities in the house and senate to override his veto if they wanted to repeal the law. Polls show the majority of New Hampshire residents want to keep marriage equality.
