Liberty Counsel's director of cultural affairs, Matt Barber, said on Wednesday's Faith and Freedom Radio program that he thinks Dan Savage is a bigot, but a bigot with a right to say whatever he wants.
Barber was on the show to discuss Westboro Baptist Church's recent Supreme Court victory, saying Liberty Counsel opposes the group's vicious bigotry.
But he argued that the group has a First Amendment right to spew hate, as does Savage, whom he then called "the pro-homosexual version of Fred Phelps."
