Gareth Heading to Royal Wedding

Welsh Rugby star Gareth Thomas will be attending the royal wedding in April because of his friendship with Prince William.

According to the U.K. Telegraph, Thomas was in London this week to get a suit for the ceremony for Prince William and his longtime girlfriend, Kate Middleton.

"I'm a friend of William through rugby," he said. "I'm just going to the service. I'm not nervous about it it. It will be good."

Thomas, a rugby legend in the U.K., came out in publicly in 2009 and is being eyed as the subject of a film based on his life and career starring Mickey Rourke.
