Nevada Republican governor Brian Sandoval has gone to bat once again for LGBT rights, this time signing a bill that offers protections for transgender people in housing and accommodations.
The legislation, actually two separate bills, was signed this week, reports the Las Vegas Sun. Sandoval signed employment protections for transgender people into law in March. In 2009, Nevada's legislature passed a law legalizing civil unions for same-sex couples and managed to override a veto from the state's former governor, the antigay and scandal-plagued Jim Gibbons.
