OutServe's new magazine is celebrating the first day free of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy by printing the names and faces of 101 out servicemen and women.

The magazine, which is being distributed at some bases, is published by the OutServe group of LGBT members of the U.S. military. The group claims more than 4,000 members worldwide.

"Throughout the tumultuous year of 2012, when it seemed like DADT would never come up for a full vote in the United States Senate, we would often console one another with the hope that one day, we would be able to tell our stories without shame, fear, and most importantly, discharge," write the editors of OutServe. "When the law finally passed, like everyone else, we were elated -- but we both knew that our work was only just beginning. There were far too many stories to tell."

Check out a sampling of the faces of repeal on the following pages and then read the complete section of the historic issue of OutServe.
