Following a full-on web battle between William Shatner and Carrie Fisher over whose sci-fi franchise is better, gay actor George Takei has stepped in to broker peace between the two and urge all space folks to join forces and fight the real enemy: Twilight.

In his own viral video, Takei laments the vampire saga's lack of "heroism, camaraderie, or epic battle."

"Now, I'm not above mixing in a little sex appeal to spice up the fantasy," Takei says flashing sexy photos of Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz, and himself as Star Trek's Mr. Sulu, "but sci-fi fans be warned, there are no great stories, characters or profound life lessons to be found in Twilight. ... In Twilight, the only message that rings through loud and clear is: 'Does my boyfriend like me?'"

Watch the video below. And be sure to live and let live, long and prosperously.
