Singer George Michael thanks the doctors who kept him alive and calls the past weeks, in which he battled severe pneumonia, "the worst month of my life," during an emotional press conference outside his home in London.

In video footage recorded by The Telegraph, Michael is frequently out of breath and sometimes has trouble speaking. He says it was "touch and go" for while and that he suffered from streptococcus pneumonia, and implies he had been in a coma.

"I spent the last 10 days since I woke up literally thanking people for saving my life, which is something I have never had to do before and never want to do again," he says.

Michael also reveals he plans to eventually perform all the concerts he was forced to cancel and that he will add a special show just for the doctors who he says saved his life.
