Speaking of the weekend, we had a variety of news happen. On Sunday, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg appeared on "Meet The Press" with host Kristen Welker, where he was asked if America is ready for a gay president.
"Of course" was his answer, followed by more details, which Jacob Ogles has here.
The interview came hours before a "60 Minutes" segment aired on the hoaxers who once sparked a wrongful sexual assault investigation into Buttigieg; apparently, they were caught by "60 Minutes" marketing themselves as pardon brokers (you might recognize one of the right-wing trolls.)
On Saturday, Christopher Wiggins had an update over the ongoing drama at King George Middle School caused by none other than the adults in charge. It's a moment worth celebrating, as Christopher also wrote about the different jubilant atmosphere that took place in Richmond for PrideFest.
