Donald Trump Jr. Booed Offstage — by Racist Cultists of His Father

The president's son was trying to promote his book but was drowned out by far-right racists who also hate trans people.

A Sunday appearance by Donald Trump Jr. at the University of California, Los Angeles, turned chaotic as members of a group called America First grew furious when the president's son refused to participate in a Q&A.

The irony of the whole messy appearance is that Trump was promoting his new book, Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us. While there were a few anti-Trump protesters inside and outside the event, it was far-right Trump supporters who were "triggered" and prompted Trump and his girlfriend, former Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle, to walk offstage.

Members of America First began shouting "USA! USA!" and then "Q&A! Q&A!" because they wanted to ask Trump about his stances on religion and immigration, according to The Washington Post. Led by Nicholas Fuentes, America First is known for being openly racist, anti-Semitic, and transphobic; the group often spars with the conservative organization Turning Point USA, which hosted and moderated the Trump-Guilfoyle discussion.

Trump first believed it was liberals causing the ruckus, but then it became clear the disrupters were MAGA hat-wearing Trump supporters. Guilfoyle lost her cool, calling the America First members "rude," criticizing them for not being able to find dates, and finally screaming, "We are happy to answer a question!"

This is the second week in a row that a Trump Jr. appearance has gone awry; he sparred with the hosts of The View and repeated anti-transgender talking points on CBS This Morning.
