In Paramount+’s series Special Ops: Lioness, Laysla De Oliveira plays an undercover CIA operative who is tasked to become friends with a suspected terrorist’s daughter (played by Stephanie Nur).

The series comes from Taylor Sheridan who serves as showrunner. The Oscar-nominated screenwriter is behind Paramount+ series Yellowstone, 1883, and 1923. Special Ops: Lioness features a sapphic “James Bond” scenario with De Oliveira’s and Nur’s characters having an affair — a queer element often not found in Sheridan’s work.

In the exclusive clip below, the two women discuss what happened between the two of them.

“Did you think about this morning?” Nur’s Aaliyah asks De Oliveira’s Cruz.

Cruz responds, “I don’t know what to think about this morning.”

“Me neither,” says Aaliyah, breathing heavily. “But that’s all I think about. Have you thought about it?”

The next episode of Special Ops: Lionessi premiers on Sunday, August 27.
