Editor to Strip If He Wins Scholarship

STRIPPER EDITOR X390

Zack Rosen, editor in chief of the website The New Gay, is in the running for a scholarship to the activist summit NetRoots Nation. And if he wins, he promises to strip naked and post the photos online.

Rosen posted a photo of himself on Fleshbot.com without any clothing on. He has written “Vote for Zack Rosen” on a paper plate strategically placed in front of his crotch.

Rosen writes, “My solemn promise to the Fleshbot community is that if they go to the Freedom to Marry voting page and vote for Zack Rosen, and if I win, I will send in a picture of myself without that pesky sign in front of my crotch. And I'll have a boner. So do it for me, do it for dick, do it for naked pictures of non-famous people. But please, from the bottom of my heart, vote for me. I really need your help.”

NetRoots Nation will take place in July in Las Vegas. Click here for more information on how to vote for Rosen.

let's see..."vote for me and i'll show you my d**k"...isn't this the same ploy high school football players use to win school elections...not that i have anything against these kind of tactics...people should use it when running for public office...

Nobody can give a community a bad name; that is the silliest thing I have ever heard of. Has anyone ever argued that Nixon gave white people a bad name? Straight people oppress LGBT folks because we do things they do not want us to do. They pass laws that prevent us from doing things that they do not want us to do. They want us to have sedate Pride events, not be flamboyant, and keep the pink flamingos in the back yard. And now here are a bunch of LGBT people who think that it is perfectly fine for them the try to enforce THEIR sense of propriety and morality on other LGBT people and no one seems to see the irony in all that. How sad that the straight oppressors of LGBT people have so many allies in the LGBT community. Don't like other people using humor and nudity to make a point? Don't look! Don't like tats? Don't get one. Don't like what other people are doing? So what? They probably don't like what you are doing either.

Being critical of someone using sex (he promises to be erect in his nude photo if he wins) to score votes isn't being sex negative or prudish or bitchy. That's an ignorant and crass way of dismissing rational arguments. The critiques are based on the idea that maybe there's something enormously more important than getting votes and maybe that something is called respect for the movement itself and all the people, including LGBT kids and LGBT conservative folk from all over the world, who see the LGBT Civil Rights Movement as a LIFE AND DEATH STRUGGLE which Mr. Rosen's behavior belittles. A contest to help LGBT civil rights bloggers win financial assistance to further expand their skills should be about substance and not "Hey look at me I'm cute and I'll show you my dick". Each contestant has their own page at FreedomToMarry.org which represents their LGBT civil rights work online. I didn't notice any of them with nude photos. I wonder why?

Sorry, but if anyone who has so little respect for their own body as to have themselves tatooed; As far as I am concerned, the more clothing they have on, the better.

He's cute enough but his little PR shtik is unimpressive. And I can't wait for the tat craze to end . . .
