Facebook Deletes Gay Kiss Pic

UPDATED: A photo of two men kissing that was posted on a Facebook page protesting a London pub’s decision to eject a same-sex couple for kissing has been removed by the social networking site, an error, according to a rep for the company.

"The photo in question does not violate our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities and was removed in error," the statement, obtained by America Blog, says. We apologize for the inconvenience"

The Dangerous Minds Facebook page was set up to promote a “gay kiss-in” demonstration in London to protest the pub. The page used a photo of two men kissing to promote the event.
According to NYULocal.com, the photo was quickly removed and the following e-mail was sent to administrators of the Facebook page: “Shares that contain nudity, or any kind of graphic or sexually suggestive content, are not permitted on Facebook.”

The decision to remove the photo has prompted scores of people to post their own pictures of same-sex couples kissing in protest — dozens in the last few hours alone.

Its so ridiculous. Yes, gay people have always existed in humanity and will always exist, however they have NEVER been accepted in "legitimate" society and will NEVER be until the last day of earth, so just deal with that. It is not too hard to create a "FAGBOOK" site(the domain already exists) but the truth is that, it would never be attractive to gay people because gays want to part of the main stream world because that is the the world that reality and significant issues and events occur in NOT the sub culture and transient gay world. Fagbook would be at best a porn site or another failed homodateing site. It would never be a place that is so cool that the "straight" world would say, OMG I must part of this important social occurrence. No, it would be small, insignificant and segmented to the relatively small and socially unimportant gay community. Facebook like most of the world is for the straight world so suck on for a while? ( not trying to be rude just realistic)

do most people hate MEN sharing a kiss that much ?. It's extremly depressing to me. My whole life i've been hated by mainstream culture, it seems that will always be. Soon I won't be here anymore, i'm going where there is always peace and solice. No more hurt.

Can we please let go of the great work of fiction known as the Bible? Not everyone, not even all faith-based people, believe in this fallacy. Stop using your "good book" to spread hate and fear. How about every other sin practiced today that was denounced in the 'bible?' Pretty sure every single American over the age of 13 is going to rot in damnation if that's the case. Hypocrites. Stop criticizing what does not concern you!

In the Bible, homosexuality was likely only disliked because it was hardly talked about back then and so no one really understood it. Ignorance = confusion = fear = hatred. It's the same today. When people don't understand something, they act out against it. Honestly, is homosexuality harming you? Me? ANYONE? The answer is: NO. Or, if you want to go and say it's harming a person's soul then let me ask you this: what business is it of yours to be telling another how to live their life? We can all make our own choices. If you aren't thrilled at the idea of homosexuality, that's fine - no one's asking you to like it. What you can REFRAIN from doing, however, is making it out to be some huge, horrible thing and insulting those who are homosexual. This is like racism all over again. Seriously... you can't use your religion as an excuse for everything. The bible also says not to remove any body hair, but I can bet you don't listen to that one. sincerely, a straight teen. take that world. :)

I think you are very wrong. They did want to have sexual relations with those angels, because Lot threw out his daughters to appease the men of the town. I do know my Bible, quite well, and yes, Sodom and Gomorrah WERE destroyed mainly from the homosexuality that was rampant. In the Bible, homosexuality was an ABOMANATION.

Actually, Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed not because of homosexuality, but, for a multitude of other sins which included promiscuity and the refusal of the inhabitants to be hospitable to outsiders. Other offenses also included excessive gambling, stealing and blasphemy. Homosexuality was never mention as a cause for the destruction of these cities and please, don't even try the old "bring us your men so that we may know them" excuse. This was not an attempt for the angels at the door to have sex with the men, it was a test, which the people people failed. Please re-read your bible and get it right.
