According to Reuters, the perennially popular Queen tune We Are the Champions was rerecorded for use in the film A Knights Tale, with British pop star Robbie Williams covering the lead vocals for Freddie Mercury, who died of AIDS complications in 1991. The collaboration was apparently a one-time deal. A spokesman for Williams said, There are no plans to release it as a single here or in the U.S. Its for a film, so it will just be part of a soundtrack.
