MTV launches Fight for Your Rights Leadership Scholarship

MTV has launched the Fight For Your Rights Leadership Scholarship program, which will bestow five scholarships of $50,000 each to high school seniors and college students who are committed to social change and the ongoing battle against discrimination. MTV is partnered with the nonprofit SHiNE (Seeking Harmony in Neighborhoods Everyday), the National Conference for Community and Justice, the Anti-Defamation League, and the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights in this effort. Winners will be selected by boxer Muhammad Ali, actress Mena Suvari, rapper Method Man, the women of Destinys Child, and the Dave Matthews Band.
