Mike White to costar in School of Rock

Mike White is now not only the writer of the upcoming comedy School of Rock, he's also an actor in the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The out actor-screenwriter will play the roommate of Jack Black, whose character is a rock-and-roll musician by night and substitute teacher by day. Production on the film, which is being directed by Richard Linklater (Dazed and Confused, Waking Life) and produced by out mogul Scott Rudin (The Hours), began November 25.
