Queer Favorite Awards announced on Sirius OutQ

Showtime's Queer as Folk and Bravo's Queer Eye get two wins each; Brokeback Mountain gets top film prize.

Sirius OutQ, the 24/7 gay and lesbian satellite radio station, announced the winners of its first-ever Queer Favorite Awards during a two-hour live broadcast of The Derek and Romaine Show on February 2. According to a statement, the awards were "created to highlight movies, television shows, and other media featuring LGBT performers and themes." Sirius radio listeners submitted nominations throughout December, finalists were announced on December 25, and "members of the LGBT community" voted for their favorites in 12 categories through Friday, January 27. And the winners are:

Queer Favorite Comedian: Mario Cantone
