British tabloid News of the World reports that singer Amy Winehouse has told friends she is bisexual, saying she finds being with women “very satisfying.”

The revelation arrives as Winehouse, 26, fields rumors that her ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, for whom Winehouse carries a torch, had an affair with a transgender woman.

"So what?” Winehouse told friends, according to News of the World. “I like girls as well. I have had relationships with other women but that doesn't mean I don't still love Blake.”

"There is something about being with a woman that is very satisfying. I don't care what people think about me being bi — I do what feels good,” said Winehouse.

also reports that Winehouse authorized a friend to confirm the singer’s bisexuality to the tabloid. The friend said Winehouse has a crush on X Factor judge Cheryl Cole.

"There is nothing restrained about Amy's sexuality," the friend told News of the World.
