Melissa Etheridge is slated to appear in upcoming shows on both the Lifetime Television and Oxygen Network cable channels, according to Inside.com. On Oxygen, Etheridge will perform in a concert series to be aired in July. The format of the show is said to be super intimate and moved audience member Tipper Gore to tears. On Lifetime, Etheridge continues to host a show devoted to the supernatural and spiritual moments in daily life called Beyond Chance. A Lifetime spokesperson says Etheridge is pretty committed to our network but, in view of the singers appearance elsewhere, graciously added, The more programming for women, the better. In a more gossipy vein, MSNBC.com reports that an unnamed source is attributing the breakup of Etheridge and former partner Julie Cypher to men. The source is quoted as saying, Julie was married to Lou Diamond Philips when she met Melissa and fell in love and switched sides. Now shes switching back. Cypher could not be reached for comment, and the Etheridge camp would only say, We have no knowledge of that being true.... That is our comment.
