Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, starring Sir Ian McKellen, not only topped the box office for the third weekend running but also scored a major victory at Saturday's inaugural American Film Institute Awards. Rings was named Best Picture and also picked up prizes for digital effects and production design. Actress Judy Davis can make more space on her awards shelf, as she was named Best Actress, Movie/Miniseries, in the show's TV category, for her performance in Life With Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows.
