       The Fort Worth, Tex., gay and lesbian film festival Q Cinema has announced the winners for its fifth annual event. Voting on awards were both the Q Cinema audiences and the festival's staff. Here is a complete list of winners:

Best Gay Feature (Staff and Audience): Neverland, Damion Dietz
Best Lesbian Feature (Staff and Audience):  Wave Babes, Lisa Knox-Nervig
Best Short Comedy Film (Staff): (tie) The 10 Rules, Lee Friedlander; Gaydar, Larry LaFond
Best Short Comedy Film (Audience): Fruitcake, Jaymes Thompson
Best Short Drama Film (Staff): (tie) The Moment After, Gerald McCullouch; Quintessence, Dustin Schell
Best Short Drama Film (Audience): This Car Up, Eric Mueller

        Global pop star Demi Lovato will perform at the 37th annual GLAAD Media Awards on March 5 in Los Angeles, with actor and producer Jonathan Bennett returning to host a ceremony that will stream exclusively on Hulu later this month, GLAAD announced Monday. The event will spotlight LGBTQ+ representation across film, television, music, and journalism. The Advocate, along with its sister publication, Out, is among the nominees for Outstanding Magazine.
