 Variety columnist Michael Fleming reports that the stand-up comedy concert film Coming Out Party may make an appearance on television before its DVD release this fall. In the wake of the success of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and other gay-themed shows, producers of the film--which features Jackie Beat, Scott Thompson, and several other out gay and lesbian comedians--are shopping it around to various networks.

In addition to Madonna paying homage to it decades later in her “Material Girl” video, that image of Monroe — dressed in skin-tight pink satin, drenched in jewels, and surrounded by gorgeous male dancers — might be one of the most famous pop-culture moments in history.
