Gay and lesbian wits popped up in Entertainment Weekly's list of "The 25 Funniest People in America," featured in the magazine's March 19 issue. Talk-show titan Ellen DeGeneres came in at number 6 ("one of the cleanest, coolest funny ladies around"). Essayist David Sedaris (tying with his sister Amy) made the number 8 slot, and memoirist Augusten Burroughs (Running With Scissors, Dry) ranked number 15.
