The gay-inclusive Avenue Q, which Sunday became the winner of the 2004 Tony for best musical, will be opening the $2.5 billion Wynn Las Vegas Resort and Country Club casino in Las Vegas in the fall of 2005 rather than go on a national tour. The show's premiere in the 1,200-seat theater, built especially for Avenue Q, marks the first time a Broadway production will open a new resort casino. The Wynn casino, still under construction, is set to open its doors in April 2005.
