TV Guide Online reports that Raven, star of the Disney Channel's That's So Raven, will star in the upcoming remake of the 1976 Irene Cara-Lonette McKee musical Sparkle. Acclaimed gay novelist E. Lynn Harris wrote the early drafts of the film, which follows three sisters who become a famous singing trio in 1950s New York City.
