Strand Releasing announced Tuesday that it has acquired U.S. rights to two international gay films, reports indieWIRE.com. Anahi Berneri's A Year Without Love, which follows the sexual adventures of a young man in Buenos Aires, won the Teddy Awards at the 2005 Berlinale for best gay dramatic film. The Last Day, from director Rodolphe Marconi and starring Gaspard Ulliel of A Very Long Engagement, is described by Strand as a "story [that] involves a young man's return home to his family and his unrequited love for another young man." Both films are set for release in the fall.
