Writer-director Gregg Araki's acclaimed adaptation of Scott Heim's Mysterious Skin (TLA Releasing/Tartan Films) makes its DVD debut on Tuesday, October 25. One of the most celebrated films of 2004-2005, Skin tells the story of two boys who travel very different paths after being sexually abused as children. The stellar cast includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Brady Corbet, Michelle Trachtenberg, Elisabeth Shue, and Bill Sage. The DVD includes a commentary featuring Araki, Gordon-Levitt, and Corbet, along with a filmed reading (directed by Araki) by the two stars of passages from the original novel.
