The UPN network has green-lit a new pilot from openly gay Dawson's Creek creator Kevin Williamson, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Executive-produced by Williamson with Lions Gate, Palm Springs is a nighttime soap about a troubled teenager who moves to the titular desert community only to discover some dark secrets in the neighborhood. Williamson also created the lucrative Scream franchise and wrote and directed Teaching Mrs. Tingle. (Advocate.com)
